Without Culture is an immersive virtual reality experience that takes participants on a powerful journey through poetry, storytelling, and lived experience. Blending digital art with real voices, this project invites audiences to step into the emotional landscape of displacement—what it feels like to flee your home, leave behind your culture, and navigate the unknown
Created in collaboration with migrants, poets, and digital artists, Without Culture gives space to voices often unheard. It’s an intimate, humanising experience that challenges perception and invites deep empathy. This project forms part of a wider programme exploring migration, memory, and belonging across Portsmouth and beyond.
Over the Ocean is a powerful, immersive installation exploring themes of migration, identity, and belonging. Created in collaboration with internationally renowned Hong Kong artists Kingsley Ng and Stephanie Cheung, alongside local communities, this evolving artwork invites the public to take part through storytelling, sound, poetry, and visual expression.
